Rachel Parker – Finance Manager
Fuelled by lattes, spreadsheets, and supernatural documentaries.
Rachel Parker didn’t set out to become a Finance Manager – but when the Stock Control Manager at her old job walked out, she stepped in. One thrown-in-the-deep-end later, she realised she had a knack for numbers, order, and making sense of chaos. It’s fair to say the accounts department hasn’t been the same since.
With years of experience keeping business finances on track, Rachel is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse every team needs. She’s methodical, fiercely practical, and brilliant at spotting the kind of inefficiencies that can quietly chip away at profit margins if left unchecked. While she doesn’t shout about it, Rachel is the financial backbone that keeps Retail Champion running smoothly.
“You don’t need to love maths to do this job. You just need to love solving puzzles and be stubborn enough not to stop until you do.”
Areas of Expertise:
- Financial Management
- Stock Control & Cost Analysis
- Cash Flow Monitoring
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Process Improvements
- Keeping the business kettle well stocked at all times
Rachel, Outside the Office
While others dream of browsing boutiques in Paris, Rachel’s perfect escape is a snowy Highland hike or a windswept Cornish coast walk. She’s happiest outdoors, camera in hand, capturing the kind of natural beauty that makes you pause (and maybe consider buying a print of it, too).
A Few Fun Facts:
– Based in the UK and proud of it – no need for far-flung flights when there’s Scotland to explore
– Runs on instant lattes (cheap and cheerful does the job)
– Addicted to paper books – none of that Kindle nonsense, thanks
– Loves snuggles with her son and will take them for as long as he’ll allow
– Can play five instruments and was once in a band called The Band From County Hell
– Winds down with crime documentaries, because “murder before bed” is apparently relaxing
– Would swap careers with a ballet dancer if she wasn’t more “Bambi on ice” than ballerina

Why Rachel Parker?
No fuss, no fluff – Rachel keeps the financial engine running with heart, humour, and the kind of common sense you can’t teach.
